$10,000 New Mexico Notary Bond and $10,000 New Mexico Notary Errors and Omissions Insurance Policy from Travelers covering the term of your commission. The notary bond is required in order to become a New Mexico notary public and must generally be filed with the commissioning authority, either at the point of application or after.

The Travelers New Mexico bond and E&O insurance combo can only be purchased at the beginning of a commission term. The insurance policy covers the entire term of the commission and may be upgraded to a maximum coverage limit of $30,000 within the first 6 months of purchase. $10,000 New Mexico Notary Bond

Required by the state of New Mexico to become a New Mexico notary public.

A notary surety bond protects the public from mistakes you make while performing your notarial duties during the term of your commission that result in damage to the public.

If you would like coverage that protects you from the financial damage that could result from making a notarial mistake, you should consider a Notary Errors & Omissions policy. Subject to policy limits and provisions, an E&O policy will protect you, the notary, from financial harm.

IMPORTANT: If you are not already a notary, contact your county recorder for application information. When you are ready to purchase a surety bond, simply return to our site!
